Camp Iroquoina is close to having a completed swimming pool!

In June we were thrilled to share that the construction process of a swimming pool at Camp Iroquoina had officially begun. What started as an idea for decades, became a matter of intense prayer at the beginning of last year. What was prayed over became a plan. And through the Lord’s faithfulness and the generosity of His people, that plan is in the midst of becoming reality.
Since our last newsletter update, the estimated cost of the swimming pool project has been fully funded. We are deeply grateful for the many individuals, assemblies, and ministries who gave sacrificially to make this possible. Your support has allowed this project to move forward without the need for additional financing, and we praise the Lord for His provision every step of the way. While initial estimates are rarely the final cost, as we near the end of the project, there haven’t been any huge surprises. We pray that that remains the same all the way to the first camper jumping into the pool.
At the beginning of July, a crew came to excavate the ground on the upper hills near Hopi and the Bathhouse. What was recently just a patch of grass was one step closer to becoming a place where campers will make memories, build friendships, and grow in their faith for years to come.
Throughout the summer the pool shell was constructed, the plumbing and filtration system were installed, and the electrical work was completed, powered up, and passed inspection. As the fall came around, the tile and coping were also completed.
Most recently the concrete deck was constructed, bringing us another big step closer to completion.
Next up is the interior pool finish, fencing, and addition of a shed for pool storage and for an electrical panel and breakers to help support the electrical components necessary to keep the pool maintained properly.
As we get closer to the finish line, we especially want to say thank you to everyone who has prayed with us and given toward this project. The Lord has graciously provided for Camp Iroquoina for many years through the generosity of His people, and this project is another wonderful example of that provision. We do not take your generosity for granted. Every gift, whether large or small, has played a part in making this project possible.
Our prayer is that this pool will be much more than simply another improvement to the camp property. Lord willing, it will be a place where campers can cool off, have fun, build friendships, make lasting memories, and ultimately be part of a week where they hear the Good News of the Lord Jesus.
