Building for Future Generations: An Introduction To Camp’s New Infrastructure Fund

Camp Iroquoina is looking toward the future. Our vision is to expand camp with additional cabins, including bathrooms, so that we can better serve campers, families, and guests for generations to come.

Before those cabins can be built, however, the necessary infrastructure must be put in place. For this reason, the Board of Trustees has established a new Infrastructure Fund.

Gifts to the Infrastructure Fund will support a two-step process:

1. Wastewater and utility construction and improvements

2. Cabin construction with bathrooms

This is more than simply a septic project. It is the first step toward creating room for more people to experience Camp Iroquoina.

This is undoubtedly a significant undertaking. A similar project was considered more than a decade ago but was eventually tabled following the burning of the old Chapel Barn. Today, the Lord has provided an opportunity to begin pursuing this vision once again.

The swimming pool project demonstrated what can happen when God’s people exercise faithful stewardship and generously support a shared vision for ministry. We are praying that the Lord will likewise provide what is needed for this next chapter.

Expanding the wastewater and utility capacity will lay the groundwork for additional cabins with bathrooms and other future improvements. While infrastructure may not be the most visible part of camp, it is the foundation upon which future ministry can be built.

The Board of Trustees has already begun this process by engaging an engineering contractor to provide a comprehensive scope of the septic portion of the project and its associated costs.

We invite those who would like to participate in this project to prayerfully consider supporting the Infrastructure Fund. Online gifts can be directed to the Infrastructure Fund, and checks mailed to Camp Iroquoina may also be designated accordingly.
