2026 Summer Camp Recap

As we look back on our summer camp sessions, our hearts are full of gratitude. We saw campers have unforgettable experiences, form lasting friendships, and encounter the Lord through Biblically sound teaching from His word.

Thank you, parents, for sending your kids to Camp Iroquoina. Thank you, volunteers, for making each session possible. Thank you, prayer warriors, for lifting up this season in your prayers to our Heavenly Father. Thank you, supporters, for exercising stewardship by sharing a part of God’s resources with camp to help us as we seek to keep Camp Iroquoina one of the most affordable overnight camps in the country.

It is difficult to put into words the impact each session had on campers and volunteers this summer, but you can read below for brief recaps of each session.

Emerge Intensive Bible Camp

Emerge focused on studying God’s Word and learning what it means to faithfully follow Christ. John Clifford led the campers through studies in Revelation and Galatians, emphasizing God’s sovereignty and holiness, the importance of internalizing Scripture, defending the Gospel, and the new life and fellowship believers have in Christ.

The teaching challenged young people to consider their testimony, their commitment to Christ, and how they are investing their lives for eternity. The week provided concentrated Bible study, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement.

Boys Camp

Boys Camp centered on the wilderness wanderings of Israel, considering both God’s faithfulness and the consequences of unbelief. Alongside the Bible teaching from Joe Wilbur, campers participated in activities including archery, fishing, frisbee, chess, swimming, canoeing, rocketry, and woodsmanship.

During the week, three campers made professions of faith following evening chapel services. The final messages turned to the bronze serpent in Numbers 21 and Christ’s words in John 3, pointing the campers to God’s provision of salvation through faith.

Skills Camp

Skills Camp returned for its second year, with Mark Swaim joining as speaker and Joshua Swaim moving from being the 2025 speaker to becoming the 2026 program coordinator.

Skills Camp combines practical, real-life skill development with an emphasis on using those skills as opportunities to serve and minister for the Gospel. Throughout the week, campers learned new skills while studying Christ through the Gospel of Mark. The program provided an opportunity for young people to grow in practical abilities while being challenged to consider how those abilities can be used in service to the Lord.

Girls Camp

Girls Camp focused on the life of Peter, tracing his story from the Gospels into the book of Acts. Through Bible teaching, the campers considered how God worked in Peter’s life and how his faith and service developed over time.

Games and activities throughout the two weeks were designed to connect with the lessons and reinforce the truths being taught. During the second week, several girls gave their lives to the Lord, providing a special opportunity to rejoice in God’s work through the ministry of His Word.

Family Camp

Family Camp provided a much-needed ministry for the homes of the believers who gathered for a time of Bible teaching, fellowship, and encouragement.

John Clifford served in the position of executive director for 2026 and alongside his brother John, the duo provided Bible teaching with the theme of how God views the family and the four stages of parenthood. Family Camp challenged families to consider God’s design for the home and the responsibilities He has given to each stage of family life.
