In Autumn of 2024, renovations began on the A-Frame that the Hage family had stayed in during their time at Camp Iroquoina. These renovations were split into 3 phases, with all phases now completed. Phase 1 saw the strengthening of the foundation to the house. In addition, there was significant excavation and landscaping to divert water away from the house. Phase 2 included important electrical work, a new hot water heater, and a metal roof with new gutters/downspouts. Phase 3 involved redoing the 170ft driveway with new stone, repairing stairs and doors/windows, and installing handrails and new carpet throughout the house.
The contractor, Doug Grant, and his company Taylor and Co. Home Remodeling have done a great deal of work on this project, and have even generously donated new kitchen appliances, a countertop, cabinets, and a pellet stove which will replace the existing wood burning stove. The total cost of renovations was $123,897.00 and it now allows us to have suitable housing for our permanent staff going forward.
