There are many opportunities for you to help support the mission and ministry of Camp Iroquoina by serving as a volunteer. You’ll find information about each of these opportunities below. If you have any questions, or if you don’t find the information you’re looking for, please contact the camp registrar by emailing registrar@iroquoina.org.
Summer Operations and Facilities Staff
We are always looking for adventurous, hard-working Christian men and women who want to serve the Lord at camp. If that’s you, we hope you’ll consider applying to be on the Camp Iroquoina summer staff!
As a summer staff member, you’ll serve the Lord by helping in the kitchen, on the housekeeping team, or on the maintenance and grounds crew. Your service will support Camp Iroquoina’s vital purpose: to glorify God and create an environment where people can enjoy the wonder and beauty of God’s creation, hear the gospel, and grow in their walk with Jesus.
But being on staff isn’t all about work! You’ll have time to spend in God’s word, personal and group devotions, prayer, and quiet reflection. You’ll have opportunities to encounter the living God in His word and His creation. You’ll form great Christian friendships that will last a lifetime. You’ll learn from each other, and help others grow in the Lord. And you’ll get a chance to participate in exciting activities, games, sports, and outings. You won’t be bored, we promise you!
Sound good? You know it does. If you have any questions, we’d love to connect. See the contact info at the top of this page. If you’re already sure you want to serve on staff, you can fill out the staff application:

Fall, Winter, and Spring Retreat Staff
Did you know we host various retreats throughout the year? Well, we always need and greatly appreciate help for those events! For example, we often need a cook, kitchen workers, dishwashers, and housekeepers. If you’re interested in helping at a retreat, please contact the camp registrar by emailing registrar@iroquoina.org.
Work Weekend Volunteers
Throughout the year, we organize several work weekends for which we always need and appreciate volunteers! There are many interesting projects to work on, and it’s fun to work together with other volunteers and enjoy the beautiful camp setting in the “off season!” Sign up for our email newsletter or follow one or more of our social media accounts to get alerted about scheduled work weekends.
Individual and Group Volunteers
Besides the scheduled work weekends, we welcome individuals and groups (e.g., church groups) who have special skills and/or a desire to come work at camp to help maintain or improve our facilities. Contact campboard@iroquoina.org if interested and let us know how you’d like to help. We’re happy to work with you to schedule a time and to work on a plan for you or your group to come and help out at camp!
Background Checks
The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires that all volunteers, age 14 and older, who are, “responsible for the welfare of a child or having direct contact with children” complete mandated state and federal background checks and receive a Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance in order to work with children. To comply with state law, you will need to initiate the required background checks for yourself. Clearance requirements need to be renewed every five years.
