Get to know our speaker for Winter Advance Bible Retreat: George Murray! George met his wife Mihaela in Romania in 1991 and worked together two years with Albanian refugees in Bucharet. In 1993 they married and moved to Albania, but after a short stay returned to Romania, to a city called Calarasi, where they are currently serving the Lord. Today they have three wonderful children; Andrew, Peter and Angela. In 1994 the Lord opened doors in nearby villages, and they saw several people come to Christ. In 1995 an assembly was born. Over the years they’ve spent time investing in people. They have strived to love the people and obey what is found in Scripture. George and Mihaela serve in two primary areas of focus, local church ministry and development, and camp work. The local assembly in Calarasi is made up of believers from the local city and a nearby village called “Roseti” where much work for the Gospel has been done through the years. The camp work is done across the Danube River in a spiritually dark, isolated region called Dobrogea where they have constructed a campground and host summer camps for children. They also have been conducting personal visits and spiritually oriented outreaches in that area for many years.

Get to know our speaker for Winter Ascent Bible Retreat: Allan Dunlap! Allan graduated from Clearwater Christian College in 2015 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and moved to Dearborn, MI to work for Jackson Dawson, a creative marketing agency. While at Jackson Dawson, he worked with brands such as Ford Motor Company, Converse, and Mercedes Benz, until he left the company in late 2020 to join @legacyministryservices in January of 2021. Allan continues to reside in Dearborn and attends Dunning Park Bible Chapel in Redford, MI. He actively serves the Lord by speaking at chapels around the country, being involved in camp ministry, and assisting ministries in their marketing initiatives. His favorite activities include rock climbing, playing and watching a variety of sports, hanging out with his cat named Steve, and outdoor activities such as hiking and kayaking. Camp Iroquoina becomes the ninth camp that Allan has spoken at as he has ministered the Word at Bair Lake Bible Camp (MI), Camp Li-Lo-Li (NY), Camp Elim (CO), Camp Horizon (FL), Mountaintop Youth Camp (NC), Northland Bible Camp (Ontario, CAN), Lakeside Bible Camp (WA), and Horton Haven Christian Camp (TN).

Today the world celebrates the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ! For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:6-8). We hope you all have a merry Christmas and that you join us in praying for our retreats and summer camp sessions where we have the opportunity to share this good news with many kids who have yet to put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.
