  TEEN CAMP Highlight 5:CAMPERS/TEENSWhat would a week of camp be without campers?!?! Well it would be quiet for one , but it all honesty there wouldn’t be a week of camp without them!Coming from different places and backgrounds they do make up a diverse group and truly make the week special. Even though they have to put up with all the counselors/staff antics, all the games and moments of craziness/chaos, and having discussions or answering questions during Team Time; they realize it’s done to help them have a great week of camp, and they do their best to make it happen. They can be an amazing crew, and without them there wouldn’t be a Teen Camp!   TEEN CAMP Highlight 4:COUNSELORS/STAFFA week of any camp always needs counselors and staff. Teen Camp is no different!Those amazing people who come up to serve in this way truly put all they have in to making sure that it is truly an impactful week! Whether it’s leading devos, cheering and/or playing in games, hanging out and being a part of things @ freetime, trying to keep order amidst the chaos, encouraging campers and others to be a part of things, or just being there to listen, talk, and pray about things; all of them pour all they have into making sure we all have a great week of camp, while knowing and growing in the Lord!It is truly wonderful to see that happen and the impact they leave! Without them(you), we don’t know what Teen Camp would be. And as always we could always use more people to counsel or be on staff.   TEEN CAMP Highlight 3:CHAPEL BARN SESSIONSDuring each day of Teen Camp there is a Morning and Evening Chapel Barn Session. Now most would assume that includes just singing/worship and then a message from the speaker!But that’s not the case at Teen Camp. Yes, we do have singing/worship and messages for the Bible, but that’s not all! During these sessions there are quick team competitions, review questions with spinning the wheel, people getting pied in the face, impromptu dance party prior to things starting, or the speaker asking to participate in acting out a Bible story or asking if you’d like to share your testimony.A lot can happen in these sessions, but it’s all done to challenge and build that community through fun and faith! #campiroquoina #summercamp2019 #iroqsummer2019 #iroqteencamp2019 #cbsessions #camphighlights

  TEEN CAMP Highlight 2:ACTIVITIES/GAMESAt Teen Camp we do many different games and activities! We have a weekly team competition which includes daily team games/activities like Ultimate Frisbee, Bubble Soccer, Razzleblast, Human Hungry Hippos(no real 🦛 involved), etc. We plan on bringing in some new games, while still holding to some of the ones we’ve done in the past.We also have a bunch of activities planned during freetime that people can choose to do, like crafts, archery, canoe trip, etc. This year we plan on having a lot of mini tournaments on each day that people can signup to enter, leading up to our annual Volleyball Tourney on Friday! All these games and activities we try to use to encourage people to work together as a team and help each other out, while still having a competitive edge!
