Dear Friend of Camp Iroquoina,
Prayer is the foundation of any fruitful work done for the glory of God, and this is certainly true of the ministry of Camp Iroquoina. As the 2016 summer camp season rapidly approaches, I am writing on behalf of the various directors of the Camp Iroquoina programs to ask for your help in getting those from your assembly involved in our “Project Barnabas” prayer program. The goal of the Project Barnabas program is to assign someone to pray specifically for each of our campers and staff members while he or she is at camp this summer. We so greatly appreciate the prayer support of many brothers and sisters in Christ in previous years, and we hope that many from your assembly will participate this year.
I am looking for someone who would be willing to coordinate the Project Barnabas program at your assembly, which could include the following things. First of all, signing up to be a part of Project Barnabas for at least one week this summer, if possible. Next, I would appreciate it if the location of the Project Barnabas sign-up sheet could be announced regularly, including perhaps a brief explanation of what Project Barnabas is (the attached summary could be used). Thirdly, post the sign-up sheet and the summary in order that those who are interested can sign up easily (please make as many copies of the attached sign-up sheet as you need). Then, speak to those in fellowship at your assembly individually and encourage them to be a part of the program. Finally, mail (or scan and email) the sign-up sheet(s) to me by June 24 so I can begin to assign campers and staff to those who have signed up.
I hope you will strongly consider laboring alongside us here at Camp Iroquoina in this way. If, however, your assembly would rather not participate, please call me at 973-885-9060 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Whatever you choose to do, may our Lord Jesus Christ fill your heart with His joy as you continue to serve Him!
Your brother in Christ,
Project Barnabas Coordinator
